The Story
Such a sweet 60s dress! By maker Maggi Stover – This mid-century “wiggle” dress really seems to bring back the historic look of “Jackie O”. This is very much so an Old Hollywood Pin up look. Made with a wool tweed and fully lined inside. The dress has a round neckline often referred to as a jewel or crew neckline to show off jewelry. It has a contoured bodice with vertical darting up by the bust. Very flattering. Big black buttons go down the front of the dress in a coachman style which was popular in the 60s.
It has 3/4 length sleeves. The dress is nipped in at the waist and stays fitted through the hips.
The skirt of the dress is a straight “pencil” style that typically hits at or just below the knee, maintaining a modest look. Special oversized grosgrain bow at the waist and helps emphasize the hourglass shape.
