Vintage 1953 Prentiss-Lane British Penny Novelty Print Day Dress
So pretty from 1953 is this authentic mid-century day dress by the brand Prentiss-Lane. This piece is a gem with all-over motif of 1953 British Pennies. a piece of history of the whimsical, conversational patterns of the 1950s.
Made with quality tailoring, the bodice has diagonal French darts that make for a feminine shape. at the bust it has a very pretty gathered center. Has a v neck neckline. Is Sleeveless with wider straps. Has a nipped in waist with a swing skirt or fit and flare form. Side metal zipper.

Condition Report
This dress is in beautiful, wearable vintage condition. As is common with 70-year-old outfits there are a few things to note (please see last three photos where these are pointed out):
Shoulder: A small, mend was made on the back of the left shoulder.
Hem: A small reinforcement mend is located at the skirt hem.
Spots: A few faint, scattered age spots are present on the skirt, which blend well into the busy print.
