The sleeves on the bolero are called bracelet sleeves these are three quarter length. Quite Popular during this time period to show off gloves or jewelry. They end in a small cuffed detail that matches the shawl panel collar. The jacket opens with out buttons meant to be worn as an open fit.
The dress has a square neckline with two decorative cute buttons on each side with a white modesty insert at the top giving it a layered look common for 1940s early 50s sun dresses. has extended cap shoulders – sleeves. The bodice has vertical waist darts that taper from the bust down to the waist. The skirt has pleats at the waistband, which creates the “peg top” form and waterfall folds directly toward the pocket.
